“Life is short. If you love yoga, take the leap.” — Bobby Phelan
Loveland Yoga Studio’s 200-Hour Teacher Training is an in-person, Yoga Alliance–approved program designed to help you go deeper—into yoga and into yourself. Whether or not you want to teach, this training is about growth, clarity, and connection. You’ll strengthen your personal practice, explore yoga’s philosophy and roots, and learn alongside a supportive community of like-minded people. With hands-on guidance from Bobby and Annavy Phelan, you’ll gain tools for self-care, confidence, and balance that extend far beyond the mat. It’s an investment in your well-being—and in who you’re becoming.
Yoga's fundamental principles include but are not limited to the physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), meditation (dhyana), ethical guidelines (yamas and niyamas), and self-awareness for mind-body-spirit balance.
Yoga anatomy focuses on understanding the body’s muscles, joints, and systems in relation to yoga poses. It enhances alignment, prevents injuries, and deepens movement and breath awareness.
Asanas are yoga poses designed to build strength, flexibility, and balance. Sequencing refers to arranging asanas in a logical flow, enhancing safety, alignment, and energy for holistic practice benefits.
Pranayama is the practice of controlling breath to enhance energy, focus, and relaxation. By learning rhythmic techniques, you'll balance your mind, improve health, and deepen your yoga practice.
Hands-on assisting in yoga guides students with touch to improve alignment, deepen poses, or ensure safety. You'll learn techniques to support, empower, and respect each practitioner's needs.
You will learn how to lead a guided meditation and you will be guided through visualization, breath, or relaxation techniques yourself. You'll learn to focus your mind, reduce stress, and cultivate inner peace on your own and to others.
Teaching theory in yoga explores methods, principles, and philosophies behind guiding students. You will learn Hatha and Vinyasa style type classes. You'll learn to plan classes, communicate clearly, and create a safe, inspiring learning environment.
The business of yoga covers marketing, branding, and management skills to grow your practice. You'll learn to build a client base, create offerings, and sustain a fulfilling yoga career.
Being great means inspiring students, teaching with passion, knowledge, and empathy. Mediocre teaching lacks connection and growth. You'll learn to engage, adapt, and lead impactful, transformative classes.
