This is a traditional Hot Hatha full-body yoga practice that focuses on fundamental poses, posture, body alignment, and mindful breathing. The class moves at a simple, steady, meditative pace. This class is best for any new or beginner student. At the same time, experienced students will be given more difficult variations of poses so they can continue challenging themselves. The class is practiced in a hot room (95-100 degrees) to improve flexibility and mobility. Our students leave this class feeling strong, flexible, and more aware/in-tune in both body and mind.
Warm Flow focuses on the way we move between our postures as well. In essence, we learn to move and flow like water. The class is practiced in a warm room (85-90 degrees) to improve flexibility and mobility. Music is used in this class to help create an energy that is upbeat, fun, and playful. Students can expect to gain lots of core strength, full-body flexibility, and a practice all kinds of fun and exciting poses in a judgment-free environment.
Warm Flow + Yin is a 35-minute vinyasa class that turns into a slow Yin Stretch class for the last 25 minutes. This class heavily focuses on the way we move between poses and linking one breath per pose for the first 35 minutes. At the 30-35 minute mark of class, the class pace slows down to a Yin-style class for the remainder. All yin poses from then on are on the ground, held anywhere for 3-5 minutes per pose. This class is great for all-level students, with options for modifications or up-levels. The room is heated to 80-90 degrees to allow the body to help open the muscles and joints. You can expect to gain lots of core strength, full-body flexibility, and practice all kinds of fun and relaxing poses. You should expect to leave this class feeling relaxed, well-rested, and stress-free.
Physically, this class is purely for flexibility. Some yogis call this class restorative yoga. Most of the poses are done seated or lying down and there is a combination of movement/active flexibility and static holds. Static poses are held for up to 3-5 minutes. This makes it perfect for working out any deep tensions in the muscles and connective tissues. The room is non-heated, at a relaxing 75 degrees. Mentally, this practice is all about slowing down, letting go, and taking time to ourselves in a quiet, peaceful environment.
